An inbound email from our Camp-let website has turned into a very strong lead, a potential customer from Rhode Island. She exchanged a few emails with me before requesting a call. I had a call with her and it went very well.
She asked a lot of the traditional questions on where she can buy, where she can see a Camp-let, and how often we're bringing them in. She proceeded to tell me about her camping style. She has four kids and her boyfriend also has a kid. They pretty much just stick to road trips and camping. She used to have a toy hauler for a couple of years but then needed a bigger vehicle to pull it. She kept having to borrow a friend's pickup truck, which she found very impractical.
Now she has a 14-person tent with three rooms. She says it's very cheap and that she knows that she has to buy a new one every 4 years. She says while they camp she likes to have people come and go. It's very much a social and kind of communal thing. She very much likes entertaining while she's out camping.
Based on that conversation she's very interested in adding the Earth Awning, which I'm personally very excited about and one that I need to bring over to test myself. She wants the annex, the side tent, and potentially the sun canopy, but then also four bike racks. She told me a really funny story that she was prematurely getting excited for a camping trip next week that she's going on with her kids and boyfriend because she said she already had imagined she had the Camp-let. I thought that was pretty funny. She's very excited about what the Camp-let is going to offer her and the experience that her family is going to have camping with it.

She is in the military and is about to deploy for six months at the beginning of 2027. She said this is the money she wants to use: what she's going to earn on her deployment. She wants to use it towards the Camp-let and have it pretty much waiting for her when she's back late in the summer. Next steps are to put together a proposal with information on each accessory as well as pricing, and send it over for her to review.
I've been working through a customer support issue with Airstream Supply Company because a customer bought a Buddy awning through their website for their 2026 Rangeline. I am now discovering that Airstream changed the rollout awning on that Rangeline model, making our product incompatible. The customer rightfully is not too happy but wants to figure out a way that they can make the Buddy work for their awning. Now I'm evaluating ways to see if we can make our product work for that awning. A brand that's known for quality decided to move to a cheaper product.
Earlier this week, I listened to a podcast on Open Residency about the Beehiiv founder, and it really inspired me to realign my Rooted in Canvas content stream. I've completely neglected the blog or email side of writing, which, downstream, has the power to produce X posts and Instagram content on top of the added benefit of having all of my writing out on the internet that's searchable.
I did a restructure of my Rooted in Canvas Cowork so that way I could streamline the way I document every step, every customer interaction, every conversation, every effort I'm taking to bring Isabella here to the United States after migrating over to Beehiiv. I'm pleased with the final result. Today is going to be my first submission and post to my Beehiiv site at Rootedincanvas.com.
From there, I'm excited to see what that translates to for X posts, which I have never posted on before, as well as how that translates to my Instagram content. Now that that's about wrapped up, I am heading out the door to drop off some clip-ons in the mail that need to go to Panther RV because the deluxe awnings that they received a few years ago never had clip-ons in the boxes. Then I need to check our small storage space for a spare wheel kit because my last Camp-let customer Bradley is interested in buying one. I show that I got one from the old Elwell inventory, but I need to confirm that it's there. Then I'm going to stop off at our P.O. box and grab the mail, as I'm fairly certain there's a couple checks waiting for me there.
